Unity 3D is a cross platform engine and is useful especially for PC and mobile apps. An official finished game would likely be the same thing. The TT2 prototype was developed in Unity 3D. It is likely they however were transferred to the new MMO.ĭuring Toontown's Final month I asked Jesse Schell about the Downtown Toontown/Toontown 2.0 rumour to which he replied 'I can't talk about that' If it was a completely canned project why did he not tell us? That may have been just because of ongoing talks though. There has been no mention of what happened to the game developers, designers or graphic artists. Some were transferred to other games such as Chris joining the Club Penguin team. None of the Toontown employees were laid off.

The developer's who worked on TT2 still list their resumes as 'Toontown 2.0 prototype'.
